Tattoos

I have an obsession with tattoos. I find them extremely attractive, and for some reason, I think everyone should have one.
Unfortunately, I don't have any (yet), but that's because I'm not old enough to get one -that's what my mom says- though, she already gave me permission to get one as soon as I'm 18. On the other hand, my dad said he'd  chop off the part of my body where the tattoo is, how dramatic, huh? BUT I know he's not gonna do that.. how is he going to chop off my finger, hand, and neck? That's impossible.. So......... In about 11-12 months I'm getting my first tattoo, on my left index finger - I'm getting a small peace sign, heart and cross.

Here are some of the tattoos I like the most.. (this doesn't mean I'm getting them all.. I just like them)

Megan Fox's "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies"

Miley Cyrus' pinky heart.

Nicole Richie's foot rosary.

Pelayo Diaz's - Fuerza - Valor on thighs

Pelayo Diaz's nobody on arm.

Rihanna's stars from neck to back.

Rihanna's "Shhh..." on index finger.

Shia LaBeouf's "1986-2002" on wrist.

Vanessa Hudgens' butterfly on neck.

Interviewing Stylishlyme;

1. What’s your name and how old are you?
Vanessa Rodriguez and I am 22 years young

2.   How did you get started in the blogging “world”?  And how long ago?
I actually remember the exact day that I got the idea of starting a blog. (Well the idea was planted by my boyfriend) He knew the love I have for fashion and instead of letting this passion go unattended he said why not channel it to a blog.  We were in Paris and it was the day before my birthday (2009). We were coming up with ideas for what my blog could be called and that’s when we created “Stylishlyme.” In the beginning I neglected my blog but never neglected fashion. Though I started in 2009 I ‘officially’ launched stylishlyme.com November 2010.

3.    What has been your biggest accomplishment, since you started?
My biggest accomplishment came in the form of design.  I proudly designed and built my website. This was a huge accomplishment because before stylishlyme I had never built a website.  I knew that in order for me to have a site design that I love I was going to have to make it myself, so I did!

4.    How would you describe yourself/your style?
Classic with a contemporary twist. I appreciate the history of fashion while embracing today’s trends.

5.   Who’s your biggest inspiration? Why?
This really got me thinking because I have things, places and people in general that inspire me.  I have never though about bringing it to one person, it’s a whole collection of things.  But I can say for fashion inspiration I look to Miroslava Duma.  She has impeccable style and I simply adore everything she wears.

 6.  Who’s your favorite designer? Why?
Michael Kors.  I could wear everything in his collection, every season.  He knows what works for women and this is the reason he has been so successful for the past 30 years.  Love, love his creations.

7.    What’s your favorite piece of clothing?
A blazer. Can wear it with everything, dress it up or dress it down it will always work.

8.    And accessory?
Scarfs. Every color, shape, fabric, length, everything about them, I love them all. They can be used all year round and add that extra oomph to an outfit. They don’t get enough attention.

9.   Who would you love to work with?
Anna Wintour.  She is one of the most powerful women in business and in fashion.

10.  If you could change one thing about your life, what would that be? Why?
That I had a free pass and all expenses paid to every fashion week.  A girl can dream right.

11.  What’s your favorite part about what you do?
I love that I get to interact with other people that share the same passion as me. Meet people from all over the world and share with them my personal style and ideas, its fantastic
.
12.  Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Well, I want to see myself living in Europe not sure where but I know I want to live in Europe.  Working my dream job (see below), married and with an immense clothing collection.

13. What would be your dream job?
Seeing that I have my degree in International Business and I love fashion I would love to mesh the two and be an International Director for an Haute couture brand.

so, that was it.. hope you liked it. and if you want to get to know vanessa better, or follow her trends, style.. go an check out her blog:

Oscars: My best dressed list.

Well hello lovely readers.. As you know, the Oscars were today, and as usual, there were some amazing dresses, and I wanted to blog about it because, it is actually the first time I like more than two or three. I enjoyed watching the Red Carpet, some actresses shocked me with their fantastic good taste, and some others.. well.. lets just say it wasn't their best night.. but I'm not talking about that, so, here is my best dressed list (in alphabetical order) :-)

Anne Hathaway (who was host) in Valentino.

Cate Blanchett, in Givency Couture.

Florence Welch (from Florence + The Machine) in Valentino Couture.

Gwyneth Paltrow, in Calvin Klein.

Hailee Steinfeld, in Marchesa.

Hilary Swank, in Gucci Premiere.

Jennifer Hudson in Atelier Versace.
(I have to say this: she looks stunning, and WOW she really lost weight )

Mandy Moore, in Monique Lhuillier.
(She has lost weight too!!!)

Michelle Williams, in Chanel Haute Couture.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Haute Couture.
(She's so fucking perfect)

Natalie Portman in Rodarte.
(I'm happy because she won an Oscar, I loved Black Swan)

Reese Whiterspoon in Armani Privé.
(So simple yet so classy)

Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang.

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabanna.

So, those are my favorite dresses.. some people didn't like Scarlett's but I think she looked beautiful and her hair looks great.. If I have to choose who was the best dressed, I would say.. it's a tie between Cate Blanchett and Mila Kunis.. I loved their dresses, they were just perfect for the ocassion.. Congrats to them :-)

Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch the Oscars, just the Red Carpet event :/ so I didn't see Anne Hathaway's blue Armani Privé dress.. but I've read it is stunning.. so I'll have to wait to see it.

On other news, I saw "The Rite" today.. and I totally regret it, lol.. waste of time and money, I'm soooo not buying that it is a real story.. bullsh**t.

Well, tomorrow's monday.. what a shame hahaha :/
Goodnight, xxo

Pudiera decir que..

Pudiera decir que todo es muy facil, aceptar las cosas como son y vivir una vida feliz y plena. Si, suena facil no?
